How to Prepare for a Cleanse

Preparation for your cleanse is important.  Choose a duration, time frame, and preparation strategy that works for you...and remember to order your cleanse 48 hours in advance for pickup at our Bentonville located on J St.

Step 1: Duration.

Optimal cleanse duration is a personal decision.  Cleanse duration can range from 1 to 5 (or more) consecutive days.  Juice cleanses usually involve no solid foods, although people and methods vary. Do your own research. There is an abundance of information on cleanse strategies (aryuvedic, raw fresh foods w/juice, etc).  A cleanse is meant to help the body's digestive system "rest" by providing it with easy to absorb liquid nutrients that don't require the time and energy that solid foods do to process.

Step 2: Time frame.

Consider the events and activities in your life that will affect you. You will want to select a time when you are not engaged in heavy physical or mental activity to allow your body to absorb the full effects of the cleanse.  Furthermore, if you are doing a cleanse while everyone else is eating Thanksgiving dinner, you may feel a little left out.  Plan supportive social events around your cleanse period.  We encourage you to choose a time fram where your schedule is less full to begin a cleanse.  Having a friend or a few friends or colleagues commit to the same time period helps create a supportive environment helps.  If you have any questions we are always here... for questions and support.

Step 3: Preparation.

Adequate preparation, mindful consumption, and lots of good pure water in between juices will help the body internalize the benefits of the cleanse process.  We want you to be successful on your cleanse.  Native Nectar Juice is not meant to treat, prevent, or cure, and we encourage all of our clients to learn about cleansing before committing to raw juice.  Raw juice is a lifestyle choice, and we feel it should be incorporated into your daily routine.  Preparing for juicing and re-acclimating the body to whole foods afterward is essential in a successful cleanse.  To begin, at least 3 days before ease off all toxins, including meat, dairy, alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, and refined sugars.  You may experience some general fatigue and discomfort while your body initially readjusts to the dietary changes.  Eating mindfully and adding juice (in place of refined sugary and caffeinated drinks) during the days leading up to and following your cleanse helps ease the body in and out of your full days of juicing.

Step 4: Order.

Selecting your juices.  Native Nectar Juices have around 1-2 pounds of produce in each 12 ounce bottle.  So they are meal replacement quality juices. Nevertheless, you want to consider a variety of juices that makes sense for you.

Ordering ahead of time is also an important part of a cleanse preparation.  This ensures that we have exactly what you want, when you want it. The easiest way is to order in advance is online or in person. We ask for 48 hours before your desired pick up, but we will always try to meet an earlier time frame, just ask in the "special instructions" section of the online order form.  Do note at this time we do not offer shipping.  All orders can be picked up from our Bentonville location.
